CleanAudio MCP supports practical audio extraction workflows by letting agents cut_audio to isolate a section, join_audio to assemble clips, clean_noise to improve it, and transcribe to inspect speech. The current MCP tools do not claim a dedicated video-to-audio extractor or arbitrary format converter.

For WAV-to-MP3 or video extraction requests, your agent can guide you to the relevant CleanAudio web tool when available rather than inventing an MCP conversion tool.

What this MCP server does

  • Clean background noise with clean_noise
  • Cut an uploaded recording with cut_audio
  • Join ordered clips with join_audio
  • Remove pauses with remove_silence
  • Generate speech with text_to_speech
  • Create a transcript with transcribe
  • Isolate selected portions with cut_audio

Example prompts

Ask Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or VS Code in plain language.

  • “Cut the spoken introduction from this recording.”
  • “Extract the quote between the two speaker turns as a short clip.”
  • “Clean noise from this isolated audio section.”
  • “Join these selected clips into one highlight reel.”
  • “Convert WAV to MP3 using the CleanAudio web tools if conversion is needed.”

Stay accurate about tools

The connector exposes editing and cleanup tools, while conversion can be handed to CleanAudio web tools when applicable.

Create an audio extraction workflow with MCP

Use CleanAudio tools for clip isolation and editing. Ask for web-tool guidance where a format conversion is required.

  1. 1

    Copy the hosted connector URL

Copy https://mcp.cleanaudio.app/mcp. CleanAudio hosts the MCP server, so there is no local server or FFmpeg installation.

  2. 2

    Connect your AI agent

Add the URL in Claude Connectors, Cursor Settings → MCP, ChatGPT connectors, or your VS Code MCP client.

  3. 3

    Sign in to CleanAudio

Complete the browser sign-in with your CleanAudio account. Authorization keeps processing and usage tied to your account.

  4. 4

Ask for an extracted audio clip

Upload or reference your audio, then give the agent a concrete instruction. It can choose the relevant CleanAudio tool.
